After school Teachers

We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with children from ages 3 to 12 years old. This position is part-time, Monday-Friday 20-25 hours a week.

Responsibilities:
Supervise school-age children at all times and maintain proper staff-to-child ratios. Welcome children as they arrive from school and assist with daily transitions. Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities, games, crafts, and recreational activities. Provide homework assistance and encourage positive study habits when needed. Serve and supervise snack according to center procedures. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe classroom/program area. Assist children with cleaning up and taking responsibility for materials and belongings. Monitor indoor and outdoor play. Follow all CCMC, DHS, Keystone STARS, and applicable program policies.

Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age or older. Have a high school diploma or GED. Previous experience working with school-age children preferred. Must meet all Pennsylvania DHS childcare staff requirements for the position. Obtain and maintain all required background checks and clearances. Complete required health and safety trainings. Have an active pediatric First Aid/CPR certification. Must be dependable, punctual, patient, energetic, and able to work well with children. Have the ability to communicate professionally with children, parents, coworkers, and administration. Must be able to work Monday–Friday during after-school hours. And be willing to follow all CCMC policies, procedures, and supervision requirements.

classroom Assistant Teacher / Aides

We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with children of all age from 6 weeks old to school age. This position is to provide help to the classroom teachers and the daily activities within the classroom. This position can offer both full and part schedules. Our center is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm. Therefore, scheduling opportunities can vary to allow for more flexibility and accommodations.

Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in implementing the daily lessons, assisting in maintaining daily commination logs for parents, completing daily activities such as feeding, diapering/toileting, engaging and interacting with children, creative playing, providing a loving and nurturing environment, washing dishes used for meals and snacks, sweeping and mopping floors, washing and folding linens and bedding, and other minor housekeeping chores that would occur within the classroom.

Requirements:
Classroom Assistant: Minimum 2-year experience working with children.
Classroom Aide: Highschool Diploma

Must successfully obtain DHS FBI Fingerprint, Child Abuse, and PA State Criminal Background clearance reports. A current Health Assessment with Mantoux TB test. 2 non-family written references
